Musoma, Tanzania: New Strategies in Translation

22 July 2011

This video shows where I am hopefully headed in about 8 months time, after furlough here in the States.  My role will be to teach the children of the translators who are working in the Mara Region with nine different languages!

There is currently one teacher serving at "Lake Victoria Learning Center" - a 'two room school house co-op' setting for the children in Musoma with our organization.  Parents come in and help fill the rest of the teaching needs for their children's education throughout the week.  The goal in me going would be to provide teaching needed to further their children's educational opportunities while the parents continue in what they have been called and trained to do in the office and on the field.

Check out this video to catch a glimpse of what life is like - and what God is doing - in the Mara Region of Tanzania, East Africa!  Many of the people - and kids - you see in this video are those I will be working with once I arrive.
How can you help?  Please pray for:
  • Peace during transitions for me, and wisdom for what's ahead
  • Good focus on my Grad studies while in the States
  • Increased monthly funding and prayer support
  • Networking and opportunities to share with individuals, small groups, and churches what God is doing
  • Great times with friends and family while I'm here!
  • How YOU might be able to get involved!
